Introducing Spotify’s popular Wrapped experience, which brings together your most-listened-to tracks, artists, genres, and more. Spotify is providing listeners with social-friendly stats the company hopes will generate the kind of buzz it has in the past, spurring competitors like Apple Music and YouTube Music to produce their own year-end roundups.
To reveal your music taste, this year’s festival also features a “Listening Personality” test.
Wrapped 2022 was announced by Spotify this morning in a blog post:
“2022 Wrapped is a celebration of the year gone by and an invitation to join in on the fun. It’s all about the two-way connections that bring millions of creators and fans together through audio every day. We know that no two listeners are alike, so 2022 Wrapped encourages you to gaze into your vibrant audio kaleidoscope and show it off to the world. Get an inside look into all things #SpotifyWrapped—from our annual top-lists to the musical genres and personality types that make up your experience.”
What is Spotify Wrapped 2022:
Since 2016, Spotify has released its year-end Wrapped roundups, providing users with insights on everything from songs, albums, and podcasts to genres and artists they’ve listened to from January 1 to October 31. Beyond what you’ve been listening to, Wrapped also details what has been the most streamed and listened-to content on the service throughout the year, providing all kinds of content for social media, artist bragging rights, and more. Wrapped is accessible on mobile devices, via an internet browser, and through the Spotify desktop app. It has also inspired some third-party sites to showcase your music listening in creative ways, like Instafest, which displays your top artists as a fake festival lineup.
When the Spotify Wrapped 2022 List revealed ?
Spotify Wrapped 2022 went live this year on November 30, but it sometimes comes out in the first week of December. If you’re a Spotify user, you likely got a teaser email for the 2022 list with a link attempting to satiate you with your top songs from last year.

On Smartphone :
You’re likely to access the Spotify Wrapped lists through your smartphone or tablet once they’re available through the Spotify app (Android, iPhone). You’ll immediately see the 2022 Wrapped section once you launch the app – they’re pretty obvious about it. If you don’t see it, just search for it.
As soon as you’ve gone through the Wrapped 2022 cards presentation , you’ll have an almost endless array of the unique playlist to choose from, as well as some cool extra features, like last year’s Your Artists Revealed section that includes songs and interviews from your favourite
On Desktop App Or Web Browser:
Those without Spotify subscriptions can still view the country’s overall stats and best-of by using their web browser and visiting the Spotify Wrapped website. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to see the cool scrolling “cards” presentation. Using your Spotify Premium account credentials, you can see what’s floating your boat in 2022 if you’re a Spotify subscriber.

The Wrapped app returns with fan-favorite features, including top artists, genres, songs, podcasts, and minutes listened to. The following new elements have been introduced by Spotify for 2022:
Listening Personality Test:
Spotify has launched its Listening Personality test this year. It’s like a Myers-Briggs but for music.What’s your Listening Personality ? Here’s how Spotify describes it:
“Your Listening Personality is a new feature that not only tells you about the music you listen to but what that says about your music taste—bringing a whole new layer of personalization and insight to the entire Wrapped experience.”
Spotify created 16 different “Listening Personality” types, and Wrapped will show users which personality they are matched with based on their 2022 listening trends.Check out more about Listening Personalities in the announcement post and in the Spotify app.
Audio Day :
An interactive story that gives you a peek into how your music taste evolved throughout the day, Audio Day showcases the niche moods and aesthetic descriptors of the music you listened to during morning, midday, and evening time periods.
More sharing options:
Wrapped cards have become a popular way for Spotify fans to share them, so we’re adding messaging capabilities to WhatsApp and Line as well.
Furthermore, Wrapped fans can unlock a personalized Snapchat lens based on their Listening Personality, and they can access special Wrapped-themed apparel for Bitmojis and custom Wrapped-themed GIFs everywhere GIPHY is available.
Taking Wrapped into Roblox:
Earlier this year, Spotify became the first music-streaming brand to have a presence on Roblox with the launch of Spotify Island. Now, for the first time, we’re taking Spotify Wrapped to the metaverse with Spotify Island: WonderWrapped on Roblox.
To celebrate Wrapped and the artists that soundtracked the year, we’ll be taking over the Spotify Island mainland with Wrapped-inspired quests, games, and virtual merch, and with photo booth opportunities with 12 different artists including Bizarrap, Black Sherif, Calvin Harris, CRO, Doechii, Eslabon Armado, Miranda Lambert, NIKI, NewJeans, Stray Kids, SUNMI, and Tove Lo.
Expanded Your Artist Messages:
In 2021, Wrapped featured thank-you messages from about 100 artists. This year, Spotify has expanded that to include messages from more than 40,000 artists, including Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, J Balvin, Pusha T, Shania Twain and Måneskin. With the Your Artist Messages, eligible fans will get a personalized video feed with thank-you messages from some of their top artists in 2022, with each video followed up by their most-listened song from that artist this year.

Spotify Wrapped 2022 Top Performers:
In addition, Spotify launched its Wrapped creator experience for artists and podcasters, providing individualized Wrapped microsites that let creators explore how fans listened to their content this year.
Most Globally Artists of 2022 :
Becoming the first artist to top Spotify’s most-streamed artist list three years in a row, Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny took the number one spot for most-streamed artist globally, generating more than 18.5 billion streams this year. The second most-streamed artist – and most-streamed female artist of the year – is Taylor Swift (#2), followed by Drake (#3), The Weeknd (#4) and BTS (#5).
Most-Streamed Globally Songs:
The most-streamed song of 2022 is Harry Styles’ international hit “As It Was”with more than 1.6 billion streams globally this year. In the second and third spots respectively, are “Heat Waves” by Glass Animals (#2) and for the second year running, “STAY (with Justin Bieber)” by The Kid LAROI (#3). The fourth and fifth spots both come from Bad Bunny with “Me Porto Bonito” (#4) and “Tití Me Preguntó” (#5) rounding out the list.
Most-Streamed Globally Albums:
Most-streamed artist Bad Bunny also tops the most-streamed album list with Un Verano Sin Ti (#1), followed by Harry Styles’ third studio album, Harry’s House (#2). In a repeat of last year’s global front-runners, Olivia Rodrigo’s SOUR (#3), Ed Sheeran’s = (#4), and Doja Cat’s Planet Her (#5) each return in the third, fourth and fifth spots respectively.
Most Viral Artists Globally :
When it comes to sharing, Taylor Swift takes the top spot as the artist whose music is most frequently shared from Spotify to social platforms. The Weeknd comes in at number 2, followed by Bad Bunny(#3). The 4th most viral artist is BTS and Lana Del Rey rounds out the top 5
Most Popular Podcast Globally:
As for podcasts, The Joe Rogan Experience (#1) takes the number one slot for most popular podcast of the year globally. Coming in second and third are Call Her Daddy (#2) and Anything Goes with Emma Chamberlain (#3), followed by thriller/crime series like Caso 63 (All Languages, #4) and Crime Junkie(#5).
